The effect of memory, attachments and beliefs on wellness – part 1

Did you know that you had more than one brain? Yes!

Ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy maintains there are three minds, intelligences or energy centers within the body known as the Three Tan Tiens. The Upper Tan Tien is located with the Head Brain. The Middle Tan Tien is located in the Heart and the Lower Tan Tien is in the abdomen.

Science has also confirmed the presence of complex brain neural plexuses in the three areas, recognizing the Head, Heart and Gut Brain.  So why is this information important?

Well, when you have a lack healthy communication, energy and information flow between these brains, homeostasis (balance) in the body system can be affected in a negative way.

How would this look in a real way in your body, in your life?

Well, it might manifest in negative self talk or thinking, being afraid to get closer in relationships, unable to handle stress well, overeating and other addictions, physical illness and much more! It seems that having these three brains working together is more important that we thought!

Let’s break down the three brains and explore the purpose of each one and how these powerhouses work together.

Brain #1: The Brain in Your Head.

The Head Brain is the one we are most familiar with. In fact, it maybe the only brain we may think we have! It gives us the ability to identify patterns and make sense of our world.

The Head Brain is the gateway to where all the limiting beliefs and patterns we have on the Mind Level reside and can be accessed to be transformed.

Brain #2: The Brain in Your Heart.

Yep, your heart has a brain, too. Your heart houses more than 39 million neurons and generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body. The heart sends as many messages to the head brain as it receives. The Heart is the “Master Brain” of the three. Think of the Heart as the access point to the “Universal Intelligence Field.”  When there is Heart – Head Brain coherence, there is a free flow of information from the “Universal Intelligence Field” between all three brain systems.

The Heart Brain is the gateway to where all the unhealthy emotional attachments we may have on a Heart Level reside and can be accessed to be cleared.

Brain #3: The Brain in Your Gut.

Your gut brain consists of approximately 100 million neurons. The gut produces 70 percent of the hormone cortisol, which is released during stressful periods to regulate metabolism, control blood pressure, and assist with memory formulation.

Have you ever said or heard someone say, “You know my gut is telling me to not trust this person”? Well that is the Gut Brain, using information from the 5 senses as well as past memory stored on a Body Level to make sure you are safe. It is a more instinctual response. This is the purpose of the Gut Brain. To keep us safe, as well as help the body systems work towards homeostasis, via interaction with the other two brains.

The Gut Brain is the gateway to where memory and emotional energy stored on a Body Level reside and can be accessed to be cleared.

OK! So I have offered you new perceptions on the idea that we have not one, but three brains and when you have a healthy communication, energy and information flow between these brains, homeostasis (balance) in the body system can be achieved. When you are in balance, your ability to handle stress can improve, you can find yourself being able to get closer to people, your physical issues can improve and more.

In the next post… we will talk about what can get in the way of homeostasis (balance) from happening on each of the levels…the Mind Level, the Heart Level and the Body Level and how that might manifest in your body, in your life. As well, we will explore what can be done to resolve the issues on each level!
